Following the final depletion of Rio Tinto’s remaining legacy inventory of pink, red and blue-violet Argyle diamonds in 2026, the time has come for the Argyle Pink Diamonds™ brand to enter into a new chapter. Nearly six years after the final day of mining at the Argyle Diamond Mine, custodianship of the brand will transition to British jeweller, Boodles.

A sixth-generation family business, founded in Liverpool in 1798, Boodles has grown from a small jewellery boutique into an internationally recognised fine jewellery house, known for its craftsmanship and creativity. Its story has also been shaped by longstanding relationships with esteemed institutions and partners including Patek Philippe, Historic Royal Palaces, the National Gallery, the V&A Museum and The Royal Opera House.

The family purchased its first Argyle Pink Diamond™ in 1998, beginning a relationship that has continued for more than 25 years. In fact, it was an Argyle Pink Diamond™ that inspired President Nicholas Wainwright to introduce the distinctive pink hue that has since become synonymous with Boodles.

With a deep appreciation for these extraordinary diamonds, and a commitment to provenance, integrity and storytelling, Boodles will continue to share the beauty of Argyle Pink Diamonds™ with consumers around the world.

“We are incredibly proud and honoured to be entrusted with the future of the Argyle Pink Diamonds™ brand. Boodles is deeply committed to these extraordinary Australian gemstones.”

Jody Wainwright, Managing Director of Boodles

In the years to come, Boodles will bring its collection of exceptional Argyle Pink Diamonds™ to life through a series of remarkable jewels, including a high jewellery collection in 2027, combining British craftsmanship and considered design with the uniquely Australian heritage and provenance of these extraordinary diamonds.

From 1 October 2026, Boodles will assume responsibility for a suite of registered and unregistered trademarks associated with the Argyle Pink Diamonds™ brand, together with key digital platforms including this website and the @argylepinkdiamonds_official Instagram account.
